Why Study Abroad ?
There are several reasons for which youngsters are looking for the option of studying aboard, a few of them are listed below to make the decision to study abroad simpler for interested students
High Cut off is making admission in full time programs difficult for majority of students and hence it has forced the students to look for study options abroad instead of joining part time programs because the quality of small time institutes leaves the student with no option but to study abroad for a quality education.
Cost Effective & Value for Money : The cost of education in countries like Canada, New-Zealand and Australia is at par with the private institutions like Amity and other affiliated colleges whereas the quality of education is far better. Apart from cost, the student is also eligible to work part time for upto 20 hours per week to earn a substantial amount which helps them meet their living expenses and part of the fee that needs to be paid in the next semesters. Where as the availability of part time jobs in India is still a new thing and is not in much practice because the salary packages are also very less compared to what can be earned in these foreign countries.
Course options : The most common reason to study in a foreign university or college is the vast course options available unlike set courses and subject course options to choose from when studying in India. Even the prestigious Delhi University is still imparting education in the age old course options like Bachelor in Arts, Bachelor in Science, Bachelor degree in Commerce to name a few.
High ranking : Students who are looking for better quality of education go for high ranking institutes abroad. As most of the Top 400 ranking Universities are abroad, students have better prospects to learn compared to universities in India. The prestigious Delhi University is not even ranked in the top 200 univesrsities of the world. Hence, opting for higher education abroad makes sense.
Cutting Edge research and sophisticated Infrastructure : Universities in the West have brilliant research infrastructure. Most programs are technology driven with software interface and lots of emphasis on practical aspects rather than the theoritical approach.
Ways of teaching and assessment : The practical approach to teaching encourages students to apply the knowledge gained in the real world also. The continuous assessment is done by way of projects, assignment, quiz etc. which encourages students to come up with new ideas and gives an edge to the foreign educated students over the stereotype theoretical knowledge students.

The Indian student gets to interact with students from other countries and know about their cultures and life styles. Since a number of multinational companies are coming to India each year, it becomes easier for the foreign educated students with degrees from reputed universities to convince the management to get hired in these companies.
Independence leading to self reliance : The experience of living on their own helps these students become self reliant. The feeling of living independently gives them confidence.
Global employment opportunities: Foreign education makes students employable in almost every part of the world. Many undergraduate and post graduate programs in colleges abroad have option of Co-op programs where they have practical experience while learning. Graduates from overseas institutes helps them to get internship and work full time in multi-national companies.
Other reasons are like higher salaries from leading companies, options of settlement abroad, less number of seats available in institutes in India than required, high fee charged in private colleges in India is almost equal to fee in colleges abroad.
